It is believed that very soon the Central Government is going to release this amount in the accounts of the farmers. The Narendra Modi government had launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in 2019 to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, the central government provides annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to farmers having agricultural land up to 2 hectares. This amount is released in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. Now there is talk of an increase in this.

According to the information, the amount of Rs 6,000 that farmers get under this scheme can be increased to Rs 8,000 and instead of the present three installments, it can be four.

You can get Rs 2,000 every three months
That is, the Rs 2,000-2,000 that farmers get in three installments now, can now be increased in four instalments. At present, this installment is released every 4 months. If the government has increased the amount given to the farmers, now the farmers can get an amount of Rs 2,000 in their account a month in advance i.e. every three months. This can be a huge relief for small farmers.
Total 12 installments have been transferred
The Modi government has so far transferred a total of 12 installments to the farmers' accounts under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now waiting for the 13th installment. Farmers who want to take advantage of this scheme, they have to get their KYC done through PM Kisan Portal or official website or nearby Common Service Center.The central government had earlier allocated Rs 75,000 crore in the year 2019-2020 under this scheme, which was later increased to Rs 87,218 crore. However, the expenditure was only Rs 48,714 crore. Rs 68,000 crore has been allocated for this scheme in the current financial year. Under this, 60,990 crore was spent in 20-21 and 67,500 in 21-22.
Additional burden of Rs 22,000 will increase
No notice has been issued for the 13th installment yet, but it was expected that the government would release this installment by January 23. But, there are chances that this installment may be released this month itself. However, if the government decides to increase this amount given to farmers, then the government exchequer will have an additional burden of Rs 22,000 crore annually.
